Hi all. Hope this is the best place to post as need to cover a few of the individual 'chats'. In a nutshell, trying to sell two houses to buy one and may need to stay somewhere temporarily after the sale of one (mine) to find one to buy - in Cornwall. Have thought ref tent and mobile home but tent restricted to 28 days and mobile home needs to be on residential site - i.e. don't know how long I'd need to stay. Renting a house would use way to much equity from my house which obviously I need to keep for new house. Can anyone recommend anywhere where I could stay temporarily but longer than a 'holiday' stay - in Cornwall (more south than north) while I find somewhere to live. Would be very grateful for some help.
Thank you
Hi, I believe if you were to get yourself a caravan and joined one of the clubs - Camping and Caravanning or Caravan and Motorhome then you could find a member only CS or CL respectively, these normally have space for 5 vans and you can stay a maximum of 28 days, so you would need to move around depending on timescales. Plenty about down the Southwest and reasonably priced.
Have a look on the search facility for 'living in a caravan' or 'fulltiming' which technically you are not, but it will give you hopefully some useful info.
Almost one month on, I vaguely wonder what the OP decided to do, but they will be busy selling 2 houses to buy the one - at not the best time of year to be doing such things.
