Your car may have a max tow of 1600kg but your kerbweight is only around 1250-1300kg and it is generally advised not to exceed the kerbweight of the car. I towed with the earlier GC4 and that had a much lower max tow weight, the gearbox was a bit jerky in the early models which could make manoeuvring tricky at times.

Totally forgot Id posted that lol so probably looking at a van in the 1100kg range, minimum kerb weight of the c4 is 1325kg gross is 1975kg. And the tow car data site’s frustratingly recommended it at towing a 1400 van within the 85% limit
I have a 1.6 C4 Picasso grand diesel.
A few years ago we tentatively enquired at Highbridge caravans about getting a caravan and basically it couldn’t pull the skin off a custard so abandoned the idea.
Check very carefully on your cars Gross Train Weight. The max tow is often conditional on being within this figure for people carriers due to the big variation in possible carload.
