Car weights and towing capabilities depend on many things and cars vary by model, engine, transmission, weight, year and version so check the details of your chosen car on the Parker's website. You need something that has a kerbweight of at least 1200kg to tow your caravan safely, also check that the MTPLM of the caravan does not exceed the max towing limit of the car.

Rob

PS as mentioned on your other thread have you checked that your current car is definitely not suitable? On your limited budget you may have to budget for a tow bar which will be a large proportion of the budget so ideally look for a car that already has a tow bar fitted.

Check the nose weight limit of any intended purchase as well, the Soul has a very low limit so that may make it unsuitable anyway.

The Witter towbar website is a good guide to nose weight limits but always double check specifications in handbooks, V5 and vehicle weight plates before spending any money.
