I have a Kia Sorento and have a scuff to the black plastic wheelarch. Been quoted £75 to repair.
Can I do it myself?
If yes, any tips please.
I have uploaded a photo to my profile.
ok get a hot air gun out and on the low setting get the thing warmed up first before pointing at the plastic, then without holding in one place waft it over it will look like its not going to do anything for a while then all of a sudden vamooooooooooooosh gone!
It would be of interest to a lot of our members if jsparkes201148 will post to say how the repair went and the satisfaction/nonsatisfaction if the outcome.
oh i know it does work, i did it on my husbands car, while he watched me in sheer horror at first then seconds later in total amazement at how the deep scratches on the center consosle, glove box and door bins and tailgate plastics came up like new! he was ready for looking on ebay or in scrap yards to replace the plastics as they where a total mess
