I've managed to get my Brink detachable towbar stuck in. It's securely in, which is good considering we are using the TT this weekend. But release mechanism won't turn. Tried WD40 but just not able to turn the knob that sets the release mechanism off, and am using a fair bit more force than I usually need.
Will probably take it where it was fitted, but any suggestions I can try before then will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Had a similar problem with a detachable bar, ended up taking off the circular release knob (single screw in the middle under a cover), then managed to get a large pair of grips on the square drive that releases the bar. The extra leverage got it moving, then just needed a strip down, clean and lubrication before re-fitting.
The lock on my brinks towbar has came away from the switch. The key seem not to fit anymore very stiff to turn. Is there a kit available for repair or renovate it.
As well is two words!
