Hi, I have a 2014 Volvo V40. Having a problem finding towing mirrors to fit. Can anybody help.

The mirrors I have used for the past 3 years on my V70 would fit, I'm sure. They are Maypole strap-on mirrors. You will hear a lot of criticism of them on here, but I find them just fine. They are fixed by two rubber straps that go round the back of the mirror, and they will fit almost any car. Some currently on ebay for £14.

I have noticed a number of cars without 'towing mirrors' towing a caravan.

What's going on?

Might be they are illegally towing. A narrow van and wide car may be OK. I didn't use mirrors with my dandy.

It all depends on the view past the caravan. Only a very narrow caravan, or a wide towing vehicle (or both) will be legal without towing mirrors.

Judgeing by the speed people towing on the M5/6 drive at a concern about legality is the last thing on the mind of most.
