Hi all I have a 308 1.6 and I have just bought our first caravan a abi Brooklyn
From what I have read I should be able to tow it does anyone else use this car please?
Hi mate..I tow a 21ft lunar clubman 2 berth, with a 307 16 tdi est. I find it ok, but not really gone up anything too steep yet. If yours has a turbo , it will be fine ?
What is the unladen or MIRO and gross weight of the caravan? There are several Brooklyn models all different lengths and weights.490 / 500 and different berths in the groups.
What year is the car? Check the logbook (V5C) for the cars kerbweight. I think its fairly low 1150 - 1200kg?
What year and model is the car? The 308 is fairly light and I agree with Grampian that the kerbweight is probably around 1200kg. I would be very surprised if your kerbweight was 1600 kg. The caravan is 1300 kg so the caravan is too heavy for the car to tow safely.
1050 is the unladen weight or MIRO, the max weight (MTPLM) is 1300 kg. You need to match the outfit using the MTPLM. You need a bigger, more powerful car.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
