Hi guys and girls
We are looking for a tow car we tow a erde 143 with the cage on top fully loaded then a roof box on the car with golf clubs etc in
Then 4 bags of cloths In the boot then room in the boot to bring back wine cheese etc from the south of France
We don't really need a SUV as we have a disco for off-roading and for winter use so was thinking more along the lines of a estate or mpv
Do you guys have any ideas thanks

Like the Idea of a skoda maybe not the yeti but maybe one of the other estates
We wont touch a citron never heard a good thing about them and they feel cheep but cost loads at a garage
Mercs aren't much more expensive than most other cars unless you go to a main dealer

I agree, if I could afford a Bentley I would definitely still go camping but perhaps with a Kyte XL by Holtkamper!!

The yeti is a SUV as well and don't want a SUV as I've a 4x4 disco on the drive which is more capable but it's a play car not a car I'd would want to drive to the south of France in in one hit for a family holiday

I have a c class Saloon and love it and looked into them before I got it and parts wise there is not a lot of diffrance between that and a mondeo and labour is the same for Any car
Just was not sure what the estate was like for towing
I had 2 mondeos and I don't like them always feel like they are going to fall apart

Your trailer is unbraked with a max weight of about 550 or 600 kg so most cars would tow that without any problem, it's not the same as towing a 1500 kg caravan. The extra height of your trailer with the cage fitted is still lower than most cars so I think I would go for whatever car I felt happiest driving all year and then load it all up for the annual trip to France.
