I would like to fit an Alko 1300 stabaliser onto a 1994 Avondale Mayfly. Does anybody know if this will fit or point me in the direction of where to find out?
Does it have Alko chassis with 2 horizontal fixing bolts for hitch? If so the AKS 1300 will fit & without risk of fouling handbrake as it has side handle, fitting the larger hitch can be problematic as handle can hit handbrake lever at full compression on some caravans not originally designed for them.
If your draw tube is 35mm ensure hitch comes with spacer sleeve. Fitting is easy enough but ensure hitch damper eye is retained by rear fixing bolt when you change hitches.
