Anyone tow with a Hybrid, what are they like in general if anyone uses them.

Any good performance wise etc.

Hybrid as in...??

OH has a leased Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. In the book it states that it can tow 1500kgs.

But.....

When on electric only, fine.

But when you want more power, the engine cuts in - and then screams!!! Just sounds 'wrong'.

The type of gearbox and the way it engages along side the electric motors, I just don't like it... Waiting for a BANG, or similar.

That's my opinion though....

Some have a very low towing limit, you need to give us an idea of what car your thinking of and how much weight will you be towing?

Hybrid with a smaller petrol engine may struggle on the hills.

Just more a general view of what people think of them as towcars does anyone use one.

Though the one in particular is a Peugeot 3008 2.0e-HDi Hybrid4 5dr 4WD with a kerbweight of 1808kg.

Like said just wondered if anyone using them to tow and what they are like
