Hi
Easiest way would probably be A1 and the take the A64 past York / Malton and turn off at the roundabout at the end of the A64 at Staxton

A19 south come off onto A174 east,
Then 3rd exit and turn right at the lights onto Marton rd south
At swans corner roundabout take the 2nd exir for Guisborough
Then just follow the A171 to Whitby and then Scarborough
Once in Scarborough its easy plenty of signs for a165 Filey
2 hrs and a bit in total.

Use google maps, put the start and end destinations in and it will highlight the rout on the map, you can then click on the highlight and move it to another road
Get to Middleburgh and follow the A19 to York, this misses the miles of roadwork's on the A1 then the A64
