Just renewed my van insurance and looking at the wording it states
"– Proprietary Wheelclamp (high security integral lock projecting into the recessed well on the inside of the wheel.
I would have thought that it did but you really do need to check with your Insurers.
Good as this website is, contributors here are not paying your claim and you should clear it with your Insurers now to avoid a problem should you have one..
It is "proprietary", in the sense that it is made by a recognised brand, and not home made, but the pics don't show whether it projects into the recessed well on the inside of the wheel.
In addition, whilst the blurb says it has an integrated lock, the phrase "high security" in itself means nothing without a definition.
As Dave suggests, check with the insurers, giving them the make and model. Make a dated note of the conversation and get a name.
