Hi David we thought the MPG was higher than that what would you say you get around town or on a longer run towing ?
My experience so far, after 5000 miles is that around town (and I mean a lot of really short journeys) is around 17 mpg. Towing around 21/22 mpg. Long runs can be as high as 28/30 mpg. The manual version might be a bit better. I think for a vehicle weighing in excess of 2 tonnes that is not too bad. However it is way off the figures claimed by Kia. Generally I mark down manufacturer figures by about 20%. That seems to work for the cars I have owned. Should perhaps add that I measure consumption figures carefully so I am pretty confident my figures are accurate.
Thanks David something for us to think about then, we had nearly bought another shogun sport the other day................the guy that delivered our new van had towed it with the Kia and he was full of praise for them.
