Yes you are quite right, It could have been taken seriously by someone who is just starting out so I am glad you were able to put them straight.

Hi Prospector, we have had our C4 Grand Piccasso 1.8 VTR+ for a year now its a manual G/box and we tow a Swift Corniche 17/3 Mtplm 1400kg its an outstanding

towcar I enjoy driving it and towing with it,we could not afford the advance payment

on the 2.0 Diesel version so went for the petrol in my opinion the only difference

is MPG and low down torque the 1.8 petrol is a bit thirsty towing 21-22 mpg but a great towcar Go for it.

We also have one a 1.6 VTR + with the semi-automatic. My main car is a Nissan Patrol but driving the citroen is like driving a luxury car compared to the nissan. The semi gearbox is fantastic once you ralise its not an automatic. Before the change just lift your foot off the accelerator for a split second and it will change instantly and smoothly. It will change a lot faster than a manual so you can scoot away from the light. I really do like it but would not be without my patrol, as for reliability we have had a few citroens and never ever had any bother with them. I think most new cars are pretty reliable my last patrol had 350,000 miles on the clock and it drove fine. So as a comparison between Nissan and citroen the citroen is a far superior drive but then again its aimed at different markets. As for reliability well, my current nissan a 3 year old patrol is approching 200,000 and everything is still original except brake pads and tyres the citroen has 7000 but perfect take from that what you want.
