Having experienced a rear wheel puncture (the most common on a motorcycle) both with and without Puncturesafe installed, having it installed was definately the safer.
I was lucky that when it was not installed, I was riding solo and it was only a smallish nail it picked up (the tyre was the wrecked beyond repair by the AA using a "get me home" fix rather than transporting my bike and me home).
The time it was installed I was two up with lugguage in the overtaking lane of the motorway, picked up a puncture with a largish chunk of metalwhich ripped a 1" whole in the rear tyre. The Puncturesafe controlled the deflation enough for us to come to a controlled stop at the side of the motorway.
I have never installed in any of my cars yet, but that is purely because a car getting a puncture would be a lot more controllable then a motobike (from experience of both) although I would consider it in caravan tyres on a single axle one, maybe not so much on a twin axle as you still have some control with the second axle to bring the outfit to a halt.
Agreed; it prevents deflation, apparently does it very well, and is probably a very good thing to use - but once again, it does not prevent punctures - as others have said, it should not be relied on as a permanent fix/repair. It is surely only a short-term pro-tem remedy, and we should all check our tyres regularly, although I agree that like the MOT, things may be perfect at one moment, and even just hours later, far from it!
In the unfortunate event of a puncture, of course two-wheel vehicles are more affected by the deflation, but I would suggest that unless it is so rapid as to be more like a blow-out rather than a puncture, the rider should surely be aware of this - when I was riding, I soon noticed if a tyre was soft.
And lastly, a puncture is a hole, which sometimes leads to deflation - in some circumstances however, it can lead to inflation - as evidenced by (sometimes) unplanned births....

I would rather know I had a puncture and change my wheel than carry on driving on a punctured tyre.
Given the choice, would you rather be using a tyre with a nail in that could blow out at any time, a get you home tyre or a proper tyre?
The amount of people that complain about the get you home tyres here is quite high, yet almost everyone is defending a product that lets you drive around in ignorance on a punctured tyre.
The pre puncture treatments and post puncture treatments have a fundamental difference. With the post puncture treatment, you are aware that you have a defective tyre so common sense would dictate you drive in an appropriate way and get it repaired as soon as possible. With a pre puncture treatment, you would continue blissfully unaware you had a defective tyre.
I spoke to a salesman at a show with a similar product a few years ago. He had a tyre which he was hammering nails into. You could clearly see all the holes in it. I told him I would buy a whole crate of the stuff if he put the wheel on his car and drove it home.
He obviously wasn't a good salesman or didn't trust his product.
I have it in my caravan tyres. Most caravan tyre blowouts are caused by overheating due to loss of pressure caused by a slow puncture. So if the solution prevents pressure loss Then a blowout is less likely to happen.
& at a cost of £25 a reasonable safety factor
BUT as others say it is no excuse for not checking your tyres as often as possible.
I once saw a caravaner thoroughly check his tyres before leaving a French air 2/3 kilometers along the road we saw him with a blow out.Fortunatly no other damage but the cost of replacing the tyres was a pain in the wallet
i have used ultraseal a few times .
while in morocco i once could see where it had squirted out before sealing the tyre . i also once had a tyre with 11 small punctures . prbably caused by thorns while driving across the desert . put a litre in the tyre .and it got all the way home to uk .
have once had trouble getting patches to stick .but luckily they still heat vulcaize repairs in morocco so they fixed it .
i bought some the otherv day . very handy stuff . i now only use it as an after repair . while desert driving you could get several punctures a day . then i would run it all the time . it definately works most times .
