My diesel 3.2 lwb shogun does 18-20 mpg towing a twin axle van but that is driving steady 55-60,I can make it do less by going a little quicker but what's the point???

we had the paj 2.8 lwb , beautiful truck it was too but just got scarily expensive to run particularly when towing , around 15-18 mpg and 25 at best solo.
still miss it and yet to see one as tidy.
as said , a plodder that will get you anywhere eventually and a cut above a disco of a similar era..imo
