Hi we have owned a Ford s-max 2.0 tdci 140bhp for 5 year and towed both a pageant provence and currently tow a Bailey olympus 540 and we have never encountered any problems.
But we have had the rear bushes/arms replaced as this Is a common fault. You will need to replace the whole rear arm as the bushes aren't available on there own. (or wasn't at the time ours needed replacing) It cost us around £600 but seems to be fine now tho.

Thanks for info. Did you find changing the rear arms and bushes improved anything? You do, however, say you never experienced any pitching?
