What's the best site for a car/caravan towing guide? I can't find my make of caravan anywhere??? I'm still in two minds wether to keep my v50 or sell it for something else????! The only thing bothering me is how low the back suspension is without the caravan on the back. Tango the advice about the nose weight is spot on and I will buy a nose weight gauge for that. Any advice would be great. Cheers.
If the rear of your V50 looks low without the caravan on the back then I would imagine that there is a problem with the vehicle's rear suspension in general which is either defective springs or suspension units which need to be replaced in pairs. I looked at several V50's before I bought mine but none of them looked low on the rear end. It's worth getting it checked first as it would be cheaper than changing the car.
Have been towing with a v50 2.4 auto for three years now .fitted
Mad springs because my tow bar used to ground when getting off
My drive . It now doesn't ground or move at all when I load the van.
I don't know if they are suitable for the r design .but if they are I would
Definitely recommend them.

Sounds to me like the caravan noseweight was too heavy as I have never encountered that problem with just the standard V50 suspension. As a matter of interest did you check your caravan noseweight or not?
