I just hope it's wrong what he's been advised. It doesn't add up and that's a lot of illegal folk out there. Keep calm and carry on towing I think

Thanks Peter- I will check it out now. I have found a dept of transport piece of writing where the a frame isn't included and felt better anyway as it does seem to be an error on the govt website as people advised early in my thread. Apparently the caravan club and other bodies are getting behind it to have the government site amended. Thanks to all who reassured me.

David it made no sense to me. It did seem ridiculous but that's what the government site said so I was understandably concerned. I'm glad it is ridiculous nonsense.

Just spotted the DVLA have corrected their website so it now states the 7m does not include the A frame.
