Yep become a farmer and your allowed all sorts it seems.
Anyone watch scrapyard wars? They had 2 teams build vehicles and the farmers had an advantage due to being able to say its farm equipment.
Fewer regulations it seems. Although i think the law may have a word.. crossing the highway from one field to another is not quite the same as taking something 100's of miles.
Finding that loophole. Manual handbrake on an electric braked trailer a device to apply the pistons without a voltage?
Yesterday..I drove past a Nissan Navara 5th wheel outfit towing a trailer carrying a motorbike! Are dvsa as baffled as me? or does the owner just pay lots of fines? Is this not classed as a road train? I watched something a while back about a british roadtrain.. Denby haulage I think..Remember there being a lot of doubts about its legality.
Maybe they plan their route away from known DVSA (VOSA) sites so the risk of getting caught is slim?
There was a police video TV show where they stopped someone towing a caravan and their licence did not cover them for towing it.
I was a lorry driver and i have been pulled in for checks and there has been caravans and trailers parked up. So they were unable to continue for whatever reason.
have a read here http://www.showmensguild.com/transport.htm
but really there is no such thing as a showmans licence .
we can all do what showmen do and be legal.
There was a circus/fair? Where they had a fairly short lorry and 2 trailers.
Police stopped it and thought it was illegal, turned out having the 2 trailers was OK. But then they got the tape measure out and found it to be over the legal max length.
Seems to tow that outfit they needed to have an escort vehicle.
