I tow.... Other folks comments
*If I didn't tow, like Caz we wouldn't get away.
*I don't see why "ladies" need a specialist group or treatment, power steering is a great leveller.
*During conversations about towing or roads on campsites or other relevant places, folk talk to my partner, not to me. They are shocked if we bother to inform them that I tow.
* I don't understand women who don't pull their weight (never mind the van) in this direction. I don’t know, maybe this is a life attitude thing rather than a camp subjective issue. I got my divorce. I raised the children alone. I own the house and pay the mortgage. I got the (Hons) degree. Men are nice, I like them, I even got a second one. They are good to have around, I am not putting men down but I stand BESIDE my man, not behind him. Oh and one other thing. I am a woman, not a lady.
Oh and for the asisine poster above, may I suggest you learn to use the proper conventions of English (specifically the rules about capital letters and full stops in sentences) if you seek to put another group down. Your ignorance merely makes you look foolish on more than one count.

Hey Tartan well said. Women should be banned from driving let alone let loose at the wheel whilst towing. They should just stay at home and look after the kids, speak when spoken to only, walk five spaces behind their men and be obedient at all times.
But there again, its now 2005. My wife tows and has for 20 years. She works full time, goes out drinking with the lads (pints only) whilst i have the kids. Her hobby is kickboxing and she is my equal. As said before, she is a woman not a lady. I would not like her any other way.
Sorry to hear about your sad event Magdalena. Hope you get your confidence back. You will learn from your experience, and the most important thing is that everybody is O.K.
