Well said.  I think many people just look for the maximum they can legally tow.  Many combinations just don't add up when you start to work out things like noseweight, but the decision to buy has usually been made by then, and it makes for an expensive mistake.

If you look at Caravan mag this month there is a report on the caravan checks undertaken recently. Special comment was made of the number of post 97 licence holders towing illegally. If they didn't have any one in the car who could tow the outfit it just had to be left.
