Getting back onto the topic, I have come up with some figures on the SsangYong Korando 4wh drive, but they have me somewhat puzzled.
The stated Kerb Weight is 1747kg
The Gross Vehicle Weight is 2260kg
The Gross Train weight is 4150kg.
Whenever SsangYong quote weight that it bases its Towing Capacity on, it uses the Gross Vehicle Weight and therefore states that it can tow 2000kg.
Now, is there a law which says that a trailer must not exceed the Kerb Weight of the tow car?
Or is it just a matter of staying within the Gross Train Weight?
van is stored under cover in a working factory,has 66 caravans and motor homes in,some very large 7.5 ton motor homes.you drive in,unhitch then turn van 90 degs and push into bay.limited access so can't wind mover off, and it quicker just pushing it,they have problems with twin axles as they are harder to turn 90 degs. also health and safety issues, and under cctv at all times.
