Hi

I need some advice regarding towcars Just bought a 04 Swift Challenger 500 without doing my homework first.Someone has me worried about this 85% ratio thing saying that if u are involved in an accident & u havent got this figure of 85% then the insurance could refuse to pay out & t he police could prosecute.

I have been looking at the Skoda Superb but this only gives me 91% do u think I am ok with this vehicle

She who must be obeyed has told me we are not having a 4x4

Any suggestions apart from the one that is foremost in my mind all the time

you could tow at 91% but unless you are an towing a lot you could end up in trouble so if she said no to a big 4x4 why not look at the smaller ones ie freelander, xtrail etc

or you could buy a MPV bus and get it stuck all the time and explain to oh that if you had bought a 4x4 you wouldn't have this problem

Hi iainmac, we used to have the new model CRV ( petrol ) but found it to be too much of a guzzler when towing cost us an absolute fortune in petrol when towing to france, that was the last straw! it was also the most uncomfortable car i have ever owned, traded it in for a Kia Sorento what a difference comfort wise , unfortunately haven't towed with it yet, but from what i have read and heard no probs foreseen!

Used to tow the van with a 4.6HSE - LPG Range Rover, but the repair bills could have paid of a small countries national debt, never had a diesel before I got the ford Ranger double cab. Can`t believe the pulling power, more low down torque than a V8,havn`t looked back,if anybody fancies a double cab but is unsure because it`s a pickup, don`t have any worries.

Bryan i can confirm that Kia Sorento is fab, on our second one already, good fuel economy and a perfect match for most vans out there.

cant wait to get the new Senator Carolina T/A in april
