Hi all...
We currently tow our 1990 Abbey Somerset (1040kg MTPLM) with a 1600 petrol 03 reg Corolla. It tows beautifully but I seem to have to rev the engine very hard pulling away up hills etc.
Just wondering if anybody on here is / has towed with a D4D Corolla (1.4 or 2.0) and would care to share their opinion(s)...?

Hi, the D4D is an excellent engine for towing.

I have a Corolla Verso 2.0 D4D and it is by far the best tow car I have had.
