I have had it for 4 years, had 2 Galaxys before, excelent towcar just watch the 1600 kg max tow allowance. I get 44mpg on a run 35 round town and 27 towing. It is the 2.5CRD I understand the 2.8 is not as good on fuel. Not so good on wet grass as it is front wheel drive, but doesn't cause me too many problems.

rlen99 isn't your caravan a little too heavy for the CGV.

Not according to my findings and the caravan dealer (they check on there computer), it’s about a 74% match!

To me, it tow's the van really well, very smooth!

Max tow weight of CGV is 1600kg

Mass in Running Order: 1395 Kg

Total User Payload: 245 Kg (4.83 CWT)

MTPLM **: 1640 Kg (32.31 CWT)

Total payload I put in caravan is under 200Kg!!!!!

So Im under 1595 Kg!!!

74% would be approx 1180 kg though and the MIRO alone is 1395 kg so how do you figure you are towing at 74%?

Good to European standards of 85%!!!!!!!!!!

And still under Chryler's towing limit of 1600Kg   

aha!  I see.  So why does the Voyager have a hugely reduced max tow compared to its actual weight then?

Long vehicle and will carry 7 adults, chassis strength limited. Towbar bolts to chassis with little apparent spread of load. Not really built as a tow car just a typical Yank Tank, spacious, comfortable and big.
