I have an octavia which at the 85% rule can tow a loaded caravan of up to 1309kg. I'm looking for a nice modern second hand caravan four bith either rear wash at the end of seating area that can be turned into bunks.
Can anybody recommend something that it reliably built and is suited for my car - or can any one with such a car tell me what they tow already
The Baileys offer good value for money and are renowned for being light, especially the Rangers. Have a look at some dealerships and get an idea from that.
We tow a Bailey Ranger 500/5 with the Skoda 2litre 140bhp. Upgraded from the 1.9 estate. No problems. Exact 85% match. Have a look on the Bailey website for layout choice. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I pull a Sprite (max load 1000Kg) with the same car; I realise it's well under the 85% mentioned, but judging from the performance, I very much doubt there would be any problems even at the 85% limit! I frightened myself the first time I overtook a big-wheeler on a long, slow climb....
