keep bobbing down to my local `Fraud` dealer and no sign of the new Mondy there yet.
Be interesting to see how it performs though , the pics ive seen on the web look ok and might be a good used buy in 2 or 3 years time when our 02 model will be ready for replacing.
Gives plenty of time for all the gremlins to be ironed out of the new model
David, is that the kerbwweight of the Estate of hatch? Hubby looked and absolutely loved it, the shape, interior, but not the price. They couldn't advise him of the krebweight. Apparently they will be sold as fleet cars after a year(?), so it will be about 18 months before there are many 2nd hand models around.
The Mondeo is "in the flesh" at Brunel Ford in Bristol, a big chunky car, a bit like the new Chrysler I thought, curvey and a bit chubbed up. (No reference to Mrs Ulti-Mate there!)
I know that the S Max (that I had my eye on) weighs in at 1740 or so, I guess the estate version of the Mondeo will be about the same or a bit more. It's only a guess, 'cos as you rightly say, figures do not seem to be published yet.
My current Mondeo is due for a change in September so I might just drop lucky.
I currently have a 54 plate 2.0 TDCI and have just brought an Elddis Avante 556, it pulls like a train. I had my car weighed a couple of weeks ago, it was 1560KG with an empty boot and a full tank of diesel.
My car now has 87,500 on the clock and is due to be changed later this year, according to my fleet manager there are no more of the old style Mondeos left
The new one looks great and is also heavier, cannot wait to get mine.
It is also going to be reviewed in this months practical caravan which I think is out today.
