Hi

have an old caravan and the lights seem to have stopped working. I have tried to no avail to get someone out to look at it, obviously a bad time of year for caravan mechanics.

Trouble is I have now booked to go away 28th of june. If push comes to shove i was going to buy one of those light boards you attach to trailers and fix it to the caravan.

Van is v. small and narrow, def not as wide as a modern van.

Would this be legal to tow with one of these?

Any help appreciated

Beth

as long as the trailerboard puts the lights in suitable positions it is legal

BUT......

A trailer board will be of no help if the lighting problem is on your car rather than on the caravan :(

Hello DD!

Ta thats good to know as prob is def caravan not car. Just need something to get me away next week as I think its unlikely that I will get it looked at by then. I will get it booked in with someone when I get back I hope.

Most welcome, just remember that a trailer board will NOT supply power to front marker lights if required/fitted :(

http://www.ntta.co.uk/law/trailers/lights.htm gives some of the dimensions you may need
