Hi all,

Can someone help me?  We currently have a 1996 Ford Galaxy (petrol) and we are towing a 2004 Bailey Ranger 550/6, but the poor Galaxy is really struggling.  We would like to keep with a Galaxy as we really like it, but we can't afford a new one.  Does anyone know if a late 1990s (or very early 2000) Ford Galaxy diesel would be suitable?

My 130 hp diesel Galaxy pulls our 1600kg MTPLM 23 foot twin axle with ease, a 115hp would still be fine but may not maintain 6th gear all the time.

Have you looked at the Seat Alhambra? we brought an 2 liter d 140bhp ex demo last year 06 top of the range all singing all dancing for £17000 which worked out just over £7000 cheaper than the galaxy whith the same amount of toys.The garage we brought from had some fantastic price tags on the slightly older second hand ones
