Hi all,

   I took the car out today and noticed a strange vibration coming from underneath the car. It happened at about 40mph, when i slowed down it seemed to disappear. But comes back again after several miles of driving. It seems to be a deep vibration from the centre of the car, I just wondered if anyone had any ideas of what this could be. Thanks Alan.

With a bit of luck you have run over Alister Darling. If not it sounds like a possible drive shaft bush is worn although its not much info to go on. If its a rear wheel drive this is not uncommon. No big deal to fix

If it feels like you're going over a cattle grid, it's what members of the Pajero Owners Club call "cattle grid syndrome" and is probably due to UJ wear - with the rear being the most likely. They can be refurbished.

i know this sounds bazzar but we had a noise come from under on our mk1 pj, at 30 40 ish it stoped when we played with the heater switches the one for demistimg the window - to feet and vents one ,
