Hi,

Does anyone have either a Vectra or Signum 3.0 diesel?

I'm currently towing with a 3.2 petrol Vectra and 17mpg is killing my wallet!!!

How economical are the 3.0 diesels? and have you had any major problems with them?

Thanks

Daz

I have the 3 litre Signum design - a cracking car - 192g of C02 so it doesn't kill you on the road tax!

If you treat it with respect on the motorway (less than 80) you get around 40mpg. Drop down to 65 to 70 and it'll hit mid forties. Round town you'll get mid to low 30's

The towing is fantastic - you really don't notice 1.5 tonnes on the back when you're going up hills like Fish Hill in Broadway or even Telegraph hill in Devon.

If you're a spirited driver you won't find it lacking in power at all - I used to drive a GSI Vectra and in all reality for day to day driving the only diference you'll notice is in your wallet. The blue VXR I was "playing with" the other day on the A14 will bear witness to the torque of the 3 litre diesel!

And of course you can get them remapped up to over 210 BHP if the standard 180 isn't enough for you!

It varies quite a lot - between 25 to 30 odd - depending on how hilly it is or how much of a hurry I'm in!!!!
