due to embark on a long trek on saturday ive towed with kids bikes in caravan before but i got a bike for my self any advice on whether it will be safe to put my bike in the caravan aswell, the van be loaded more than usual as this our first two week holiday in it.

Suggest you load up and go to a weighbridge and confirm you weight is ok.  Make sure the bikes are secure and cannot move around and you should be fine.

I always travel with my bike in the van and have bever had a problem

If it is padded and properly secured, your only problem will be whether you are overloaded.

I would put the bikes on the roof of the car.  Also keeps the van clear inside for stops en route.
