The guy who fitted it had a really bad time behind the glove box trying to wire up the electrics as there is an old mobile phone electrics installed. I'm desperate to rip it all out but after watching the guy struggle I'm frightened to go in and disconnect it all.
I've been told to leave it but the pressure from the mobile witing is starting to force the glove box.
Does anyone know how to remove old mobile wiring without is costing a fortune??
Impossible for anybody to directly advise in this instance without actually seeing what has been installed, both on the phone and tow bar side of things.
I could be wrong about this, but the only thing that worries me was when you said, "......had a really bad time behind the glove box trying to wire up the electrics.....". Modern car wiring looms actually accommodate tow bar connection, so he should not have had to struggle if he was doing the job properly.
Sometimes organisations that fit tow bars also fit phones and radios. To be sure, perhaps you could find one of these people in your area and give the job to them.
