we only just managed to tow our bailey ranger with scenic grand, (we changed cars after 6 months)so i dont know how that car towed that van

lyn, you stretched your Scenic to the limit towing a 500/5!!!! we had to pack lightly and we only had a 470/4 and three people. The gross train weight meant that if we loaded the car to the max we could only tow 950 kg!!! Our van was 979 empty. There must be loads of used Scenics out there from new towers who did the mathematics and then quickly changed the tow car.
