hi canasrep,i tow with x5 3lt diesel auto 2002,best thing i have towed with.mph towing 20 to 26 ,about 27 solo ,very stable even when being over taken , great ride and no roiling in corners,later x5 has better bhp,so abit better mph,go and have a test drive in one .auto box is great,hope this helps,andy

If you are concerned about mpg dont bye one,new tyres i hav 20 inch about 150 pounds a tyre but get 15 to 20000 miles out of one,insurance 450,full no claims,if you do get one,make sure full bmw history,tow bar about 400 pounds ,not bmw fitted,what year and model,are you looking at,andy
