Phew, looks like your outfit is ok, ideally you need to know the unladen weight so you can subtract that from the design weight to give you the figure for how much weight you can place in the van.

lol its been driving me round the bend. There had to be a reason why it was coming out so heavy. To be honest i thought this is ridiculous i have bought a van which i have to tow empty.

Hello again, I have tried in vain to find out the unladen weight of my caravan. As you can see, i have had quite a number of helpful replies. My van (as above) is an ABBEY 214 GT. The plate says (Design weaight 1045kgs) There are no weigh bridges near me where i live. Would anyone know the unladen weight of this van so its not overloaded. We dont take an awful lot of gear anyway but i would like to feel confident that i am well within the weight allowed. Thanks

looking at all the other abbey range they tend to be a high with the unladen weights so that be at a guess it`s unladen mass to be sure ring swift up and ask them.

the caravan is not listed on there so they need the weights and only having 1 part of the sums and not knowing which part you be out of luck

there is one here for sale and the dealer quotes the unladen weight as 930kg

Thanks, but that is the gts vogue 214 smaller than mine. I have the Abbey 214 gt 1989. As said the Design weight is 1045kgs. Whats the unladen weight? Thats what im after.
