Hi steve,

Are you any good with spanners, if so, try ebay search, you will find one there from abut £60 up, two hours of your blood sweat and tears fitting the bar (usually around eight to ten bolts ) but years of satisfaction knowing you saved yourself a wad !.

Electrics are also a doddle, just check if you require a bypass relay, if so and you are not electically minded, buy a prewired kit again probably around £50. If you dont require one hardwire to your existing elecs for the cost of a few scotchlocks.

I have fiited two bars/elctrics one to my old volvo v40, and recently to my new'ish mondeo (55 model TDCI) the mondeo cost me £75in total.

Hope this helps Dave

It IS fun, but just be careful with the electrics.

You have two choices,

1. The safe way in which you buy a purpose-designed wire and plug which fits a purpose-designed plug on the car (check it's actually got one). These plugs cost a lot more than they are worth. This is better for those who can't work with electrics or suffer from paranoia.

2. Splice the wiring into the car's wiring, that's what I do, but there is a risk in that you can damage the computer system. I'm not sure if an 02 Focus is sophisticated enough to be a problem with this.

Just be sure which approach you are using.
