right i know loads of people have them as tow cars i am looking at a 07 plate ls model 2.9 diesel auto to tow me new twin wheeler i know its good for weight ratio done all that just want to know if any one on here has any big no no before i go ahead i know there are forums but i like you guys on here so please let me know good or bad.... ps it has only got 7k on the clock

we have a 2002 petrol sedona we did have the clutch go on our last outing but it had done 55,000 so really was due to go anyhow

it manages really well

by the way max weight of van is 1575kg bit worried about nose weight of 85kgs

Why are you worried about the noseweight do you mean you cant get your caravan down to 85kg?

we have a 2.9 manual sedona, towing a bailey vandee, usally with 7 family members and all the kit. no problem.. up hill or down dale.

02 plate, with 74k and still going well..

My sister has a W reg 2.9, best car she's had with 3 kids and 2 foster kids, really comfy and they tow to france every year, I guess they've had it 5 years now. Its not the fastest in town but they love it.

We have 2.9tdi 03 model automatic.   Had it for 4 years.   Brilliant tow car but just not the coolest cucumber on the block.   Tow a twin axle 26 footer no problems and with it fully laden for a family of 6.  Amazing the sheer amount of stuff that you can get in a caravan.

I tow with a 56 plate 2.9 manual(new shape) - I have only been towing since January but have already done 6 trips with no problems. It pulls our caravan max - tow weight just short of 1500 kg - very easily. I had one problem with the car where a high pressure diesel valve had to be replaced under warranty otherwise all good.
I noticed our local kia dealer had some good deals on - they are doing brand new 2.9 GS manuals for £13990.
I recently looked at the sorento but it didn't have enough leg room in the front for me and wouldn't be able to fit the dog crate in the boot.

We have an 06 old model, no problems and we love the car. Only thing that makes me cry is over £400 for road tax !
