Hi, The cherokee sport has a really tiny boot, We have looked at one, Look good though but not much use if you have to use the boot,

The other cherokees have bigger boots but I believe they use lots of diesel.

Been looking at Caravan Club Towcar of the Year on your behalf. Jeep Cherokee performed well.

This might very well spark off a controversy, but here goes. My conclusion is that (based on above and posts on this site) there does not seem to be any such thing as a bad tow car.

So as long as your van is within the towing limits of the vehicle (ie max weight and nose weight) buy the vehicle you like best and it will serve you well, both solo and towing.

We have a Cherokee Ltd '53 plate & love it. Tows well, up to now has been reliable & cheap to service. True - you may only see around 28-30 mpg solo & 25ish towing, but that goes with the territory of a 2 ton kerbweight. Sure that if you look around you will pick something similar to ours for around £5000. Think they were lowered by around an inch around april 2002 after "stability issues". We have had no problems in this regard but ours is presumably among the lowered ones.We tow a Quasar 525 with no problems. If you want to know 'owt just ask.

See you soon, Bernard.
