Its on a Focus C Max floor pan with 136bhp deezil so I guess it tows as well a a C Max with similar power but with the benefit of 4x4 for wet campsites.
Very expensive new but deprecation is massive of course so look out for 58reg bargains, cetainly looks pretty.

Ford seem to be pushing the Two Wheel drive version more than the 4x4

There are many different control systems used to manage the power on a 4x4 / 4wd / awd vehicle.
By the way, 4x4 was originally a military designation which means it has 4 wheels and 4 driven - some trucks are 6x6 - a conventional 2wd car would simply be a 4x2 (or 2x4?).

I think that you're splitting hairs over what today is essentially an American (4x4) term and the term used elsewhere (AWD). In practice, for road going vehicles, the terms are interchangeable and mean the same.
Or, are you referring to using diff locks vs ABS to limit torque transfer ? In either case, all the four wheels are driven by the engine.
