Mark what's the caravans MTPLM ie fully laden weight and the car's kerbweight and max tow weight?
It isn't a high max tow on the Qashqais if I remember correctly but without knowing the figures we can't help much I am afraid!

What's the car's kerbweight? I think it is quite a bit higher than the max tow, ideally you don't want to be towing above 85% of the kerbweight if you are inexperienced towers.

So taking the lower weight 85% is 1196 kg. Should tow your van just fine as you say its MTPLM is 1100 kg.
I have an X Trail and we also run 2 Almeras, find them all reliable and easy to drive and have a friend with a Qashqai and she loves it so hope you enjoy yours.

Yes sounds fine based on the figures you have given. You are within the 85%, within the max tow so all sounds good. Make sure you keep a check on what you are loading into the van though.

Possibly not Rich, but in the OP's case the numbers appear to stack up ok. He's within 85% and the max tow.
