not sure about this one but some convertables are designed for towing so you need to check before you buy.

There should be some good deals to be made if, as reported, that Saab are to be no more!
If this is true, it is a shame, as they have made some great cars over the years.

Hi
We very happily towed with a SAAB 9-3 diesel convertible (56 plate) for almost 2 years. Best of both worlds - good tow car then a convertible to enjoy the sunshine (!!) on holiday.
So happy that when we changed the tow car we stuck with a convertible & now have a Volvo C70.
Enjoy!

A Saab 9-3 convertible is one of my favourite cars, I am considering replacing my current Megane CC (which does not tow anything), with a 9-3 diesel, which could be used for occasional towing.
I am waiting to see if SAAB survive as the value of existing models might drop if they go under, like when Rover faded away.
I hope they survive as I have previously owned older model 900 &9000 models which were very good-had turbos which were very quick!

There is £6K off new cabrios at the moment, tempting, but if they go bust what will they be worth?
How long will spares be available (other than the parts they share with Vauxhall/Opel)?
