I have read the thread about the Ford Kuga 2WD, but has anybody actually towed with the 4WD version as we are considering a vehicle of this type. Any feedback will be most welcome

No personal experience, however a neighbour to us on site over Christmas had nothing but praise for his Kuga 4WD; he pulls a Pageant (can't think of exact model, 5 berth job) and found his rig worked a treat.
Had to a have a little "chuckle" this morning in Tescos carpark. A Ford Kuga spinning its front wheels and not getting anywhere! I assume must have been the front wheel drive version, if thats the case the 4 wheel drive version is the only one to go for.
I looked at the Kuga before I bought the VW and quite liked but when I checked on the weights I discounted it. Useless for towing our van which is not that heavy.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
