we have towed with both petrol and deisel multis, your max tow if i remember correctly is 1200kg with a petrol,but this is more than 85%. we towed 1100kg with ours and it struggled to cope with hills the engine is underpowered for towing, hence the change to a deisel multi which tows 1300kg again over 85% but it pulled like a train.

I loved my multiplas but the repairs were getting too much, nearly 5 grand in 3 years   in fact i love them so much ive been looking for an older one to use as a runabout as my bug dosent like the cold LOL , my husband thinks im crazy...maybe i am...

yep, I wasnt impressed with my 1.6 multi towing (was the Mk1)

loved the car, but it wasnt a great tug, 5th gear a rarity on the motorway, needs to be kept high on revs or its lost.

1200 is correct on the max tow. my caravan was 1000Kgs all up.
