hi all, i bought a towbar recently from e bay. genuine ford detachable bar from an 04 saloon. i hoped it would fit our 07 hatchback but unfortunately it won`t. the bar mountings are set at 14 cm centre to centre. our car points on the chassis rails are about 20cm. please could anyone confirm what the bar actually fits before i re-advertise it. many many thanks to anyone prepared to get on their back

it looks a lot more like it may fit on a 56 plate estate, i had a short lie down under one earlier. nearer but maybe not exact. the towbar plate is in german, so not a lot of use to me really

According to towequipe the 4 and 5 door modeo up to the new shape used the same towbar, it could be that the bar fits down the chassis rails as opposed to outside of them as in my Galaxy. Ford use Westfalia bars as their OE fit. Try this link for instructions.
saloon and hatch hole centers the same,estate are different,the the type approval sticker should tell you and if there is not one its abad news bar any way
