I towed with the T reg version for about 5 or 6 years. It was a dream! The car hardly noticed the caravan was there, even on the hills. I changed caravans to a larger model just after I bought it and it wasn'y a problem. I travelled to Scotland and quite a bit in Yorkshire, so it was definately tested!
I only got rid of it because my OH bought me a convertable! (though if I had been able to take the roof off the mondeo, I would have kept it!)
Every time I see a mondeo like my old one on the road I lremember all the good times.
Goog cars, no scratch that, great cars. Nwer model might have had a few refinements, better handling etc, but doesnt feel as asolid as the old model. Nice 2.0 engine, economy not exactly its forte but will not be phased by the caravan whatsoever. We tow with the newer shape. An old 52' TDCi model. Fantastic tow-car.
Yep, you wont go wrong with a mondeo. I tow with a 2.0tdci and it is the best tow car i have had. infact it is the best car all round that i have ever had, comfort, performance and cheap to run
05 mondeo 1.8 petrol van bailey hunter lite 1080, good car but tow,s a lightweight,25mpg when towing 30ish solo.very pleased so far.
