Shar, The manual has a 100kg nose weight limit, the diesel only 80kg, for that reason, I would sway towards the manual.

I assume you mean manual and automatic, not manual and diesel

On that point about the difference between nose weight. Unless I am missing something should the noseweights not be the same ?.  Surely the nose weight is a rating of the vertical load that can be supported by the towball and its attaching parts.  I can understand that there would be a difference in towing weights depending upon the drivetrain (manual vs auto) but not that.  I even contacted a dealer about this and they were confused as well.
