The noseweight might be an issue, Is it still 45/50kg?
Thats approx 3% of the total weight, They recommend 7% which would be 112kg.
Thats a big overhang on the rear suspension.

Set your van noseweight at 75kg. Most 2wd cars are about that weight & tow caravans, size of yours.

Dont load the noseweight to 75 thats overloaded.
Towequipe website shows 50kg MAX.
Check the plate on the towbar.

I have towed with LPG for a few years and find it excellent. My only worry was that I had a very heavy gas tank in the boot of the car. Inevitably, this would have reduced the ammount of noseweight the car could handle.
I did find it towed better with a lighter noseweight than it should and put this down to the weight of the gas bottle.
The only other thing to be aware of is that you there will be times when away from home that you either cannot find anywhere selling LPG or the price of it is double what you are used to paying. I once found a place selling LPG at on;y 10p a litre less than the cost of unleaded!
I also spent half a day driving around Southampton looking for LPG before getting on the ferry to the Isle of Wight.
Incidentally, is it true that there is a specialist in LPG conversions on the Isle of Wight, but nowhere selling LPG?

i have towed with lpg for many years, presently with volvo 960 24 valve 205bhp, even with this power you lose a certain amount when on lpg, i was recently in a bad situation on the road from coombe martin to the m5 north devon and on the way out of linton and lynmouth the road is so steep i had to switch to petrol to get a little bit more power it was touch and go, but the other problems with gas is the price is being oiked up and your allways trying to find lpg stations, we have sat nav set up to give us a warning when half a mile from a gas station. i think i am coming to the end of my lpg days now, going back to diesel------------- you are only as old as the woman you feel.
