My 2L 2001 MK3 petrol was a good towcar, Cheaper to fix any problems compared to the TDCI, Why did i swap it for a TDCI? Madness..

Just need to use more revs, Power is at 4000rpm in the petrol rather than 2500 for the diesel.

Dont let the revs drop to tickover before changing down, They like revs it wont blow up.

My Vectra SRi CDTI 150 diesel automatic hatchback makes very light work of towing our Elddis Avante 482 and returns 31mpg in towing mode.

Goes like the clappers for fun when not towing and is a great all rounder/workhorse.
